A woman’s neck area is often the place that can look the most aged. Traditional facelifts do not address this area. Sagging of the neck results when the platysma muscle loosens and becomes elongated. Typically, when an SMAS-Lift is performed the platysma muscle is reshaped and repositioned at the same time. Excess skin and fat can also be cut away at this time.
