Traveling is one of the greatest joys in my life and is a true blessing of my profession. From Milan’s busy streets to tiny villages in Tanzania, hitting the road and observing this world’s wondrous cultural diversity has really shaped who I am. Even better, I’ve been privileged to meet beautiful women on every trip. They’ve cemented my belief that there is no set “ideal” except being beautifully who we are. What an inspiration!

The challenge in all this jet-setting is choosing what to pack to avoid looking haggard without being bogged down along the way. I believe in a less-is-more approach. A journey is a great opportunity to scale back your regimen and free up time to experience more of your adventure. Today’s airport regulations are actually helpful, as you simply can’t take everything with you.

Your best travel beauty buddy is a 1-quart Ziploc bag. Ms. Ziploc instills discipline! To avoid seeing a TSA agent trash your precious cosmetics cargo, keep any liquids/gels to three ounces or less. This does not mean you can take the three ounces of moisturizer left in a five-ounce bottle. The packaging must be marked as three ounces or less.
