HIGHLIGHT SHADOW

The highlight shadow is the key to my whole “Carmindy look.” I love highlighting because it turns the light around your eyes on high. You instantly glow and look luminous.

Highlighter shades include a pale palette of white; champagne; vanilla; pearled pink; and light, iridescent, or sunset gold. Choose matte or pearl shades for mature skin and shimmer for younger skin.

Play with highlight eye shadow on areas to which you want to draw attention. Try a dab on the center of the lid. Sweep it under the brow for a high-arch look. Place it on the inside corners for a sparkling, eye-opening effect. Amazing!

Highlighting works so well, you can skip the other two shades when you want a quick, out-the – door look. By virtue of its light color, your bare eyelid appears darker in contrast, as if you’re already wearing shadow on the lid.

Clearly, highlighter is the superstar of shadows, but its two costars provide bountiful options to change up your look to suit any occasion.
