SEASONS

SUMMER

• Heat proof your hair and stop your color from fading.

• Make sure your product has UV filters.

• Wear a hat.

• Use a color-protecting shampoo.

• After swimming in the pool, rinse your hair in apple cider vinegar to remove the chlorine.

STEAMY SCALP.

USE A MINT SHAMPOO OR CONDITIONER. IT WILL ACTUALLY LOWER THE SCALP’S TEMPERATURE.

SUMMER STYLE

Here is the perfect summer hairdo. Before you head to the beach, braid your hair. After going into the water, unravel the braids. Your hair will look hot-rollered. Plus, you’ll get great texture because the salt makes the hair extra scrunchable.

You can get the same look without the ocean by combining one-third cup of salt with two – thirds cup of water in a spray bottle and spritz – ing all over hair.

You can use the sun to highlight your hair. Put on a straw hat and pull random strands of hair through the holes. For the most natural look, concentrate on pieces around your face. Spritz exposed hair with fresh lemon juice in a spray bottle and let the rays do their work. The juice should dry. Use a deep conditioner after this treatment.

WINTER

• If your hair is covered with snow, don’t comb it out until it dries.

• Shake the excess water and snow out.

• If your hair has frozen (it can happen!), thaw it out with a hair dryer set on low.

• Protect your hair with a good silicone finishing treatment.
