Lasers and light-emitting devices

One of the more expensive ways to treat a selection of rosacea-related problems is with various lasers, including PDL (pulsed dye laser) or light emitting devices (IPL—Intense Pulsed Light). Lasers and IPLs are most successful at reducing and even possibly eliminating dilated blood vessels, persistent redness, swelling, enlarged pores, and skin thickening. What makes these options expensive is that repeated treatments are needed, and often insurance doesn’t cover the cost. The cost of each treatment session can range from $300 to $700, though some clinics offer package deals make individual treatments less expensive. While some people will see dramatic results, that isn’t true for everyone, because not everyone gets the same level of improvement or any improvement at all. It is important to keep in mind that none of this is a cure, and that continued success would require using topical and/or oral methods to keep the condition at bay.
