In the field of forensic art and illustration there has been a great deal of research into the distinctions of age, gender, and ancestry for the creation—or recreation—of individuals from a variety of information sources. Whereas a forensic artist could be given the task of helping to identify an individual from composite drawings, forensic anthropologists can actually reconstruct an individual for identification from skeletal and semi-skeletal remains through sculpture. How does this apply to us as makeup effects artists?
