CONTOUR SHADOW

Finally, your darker contour shadow creates drama, definition, and intensity. Stay in the same family of colors as your midtone; just go deeper. Place this darkest shadow at the outer corner of the eye or in the crease, or use it as a soft liner.

Gilded goodness: Try a dot of silver or gold at the inner corners or on the center of the lid for a glittery good time.

Color play: If you want to try a blue, green, purple, or burgundy shadow, don’t cover the whole eye area. Pinpoint one area, like the lash line or the lid, to avoid looking overdone.

For softer definition, use an angle brush to sweep on dark eye shadow as a liner, or use your favorite shadow as a cake liner by wetting the brush.
