Carmindy Vision:What I See

Sarah’s cheeks are my favorites! When she smiles, her face lights up—drawing my eye to her flawless, smooth skin. And you know, I didn’t notice Sarah’s sparse lashes until she pointed them out.

I wanted to play up her eyes and cheekbones to accentuate the upper half of her face—spotlighting her natural beauty and turning up her confidence.

Instead of trying to re-create or change Sarah by gluing on false lashes, I smudged a shadow on her lash line for a soft, lovely take on definition. It’s a simple technique she can easily repeat at home.

Sarah overplucked her brows. No worries. A bit of brow corrector brought them back to an elegant shape—framing her eyes perfectly.

For those gorgeous cheeks, I placed shimmering highlight on the cheekbones, then swept powder bronzer along the temples and under the cheekbones. The finishing pop of floral blush on the apples gave Sarah a sweet and stunning look.

My fiance and I just returned from a fourteen-month journey around the world. The experience transformed my approach to beauty. I used to be super high maintenance about grooming—Ms. Mani – Pedi USA. I read all the fashion magazines and spent untold sums on expensive makeup.

But during our adventure, we were so involved in meeting people, going scuba diving, and exploring cultures, I let most of my regimen go. I was radiating beauty because I was doing so many beautiful things.

Today I define a beautiful woman as one who’s kind, very natural, and confident in her own worth. When a woman carries herself with gentle strength, she’s stunning.
