Fractional photothermolysis may also be beneficial in the treatment of poikiloderma of Civatte. Poikiloderma is a condition characterized by atrophy, hyper – and hypopigmenta – tion, and dilation of blood vessels (telangiectasia) on the neck and chest [26,35,36]. It is most commonly seen in middle-aged and fair-skinned women with a history of sun exposure. Early case reports have noted improvement in erythema, dyschromia, and texture after treatment with a 1550 nm fractionated laser [26].
