Sneakers are a great bargain, but you need to replace them every four to six months. Wear and tear breaks them down on the inside and subsequently takes away the support that you need.
Try on sneakers in the late afternoon when feet have swollen.
HAVE BOTH FEET MEASURED EACH TIME YOU SHOP FOR SNEAKERS OR SHOES BECAUSE FOOT SIZE INCREASES WITH AGE, WEIGHT, AND PREGNANCY.
Make sure the widest part of your foot fits comfortably within the widest part of the shoe.
Look for a roomy toe box that will allow you to wiggle all your toes.
Your feet should feel snug and not slip when you walk.
Flex sneaker soles between the heel and toe area to be sure that they are flexible, but not too flexible. If it’s too flexible, then the front will touch the heel with virtually no stress. It’s too rigid if it is almost impossible to bend.
Most importantly, the sneaker should be comfortable right out of the box. Walk around for a few minutes to make sure you could walk in the shoes all day.
