HOW HEALTHY IS YOUR HAIR?

Use a mirror to look at the back of your hair inside a brightly lit room. You should be able to see a shine line surrounding your hair like a halo: otherwise, you’re missing shine. Excessive blow – drying, frequent coloring, and even your hormones can increase pH levels in your hair, causing dullness. Reflect more light by using a lower pH shampoo. It will be listed on the bottle.

Healthy hair is soft. Measure hair softness by running your fingers through your hair from roots to the ends of the hair. It should feel fully silky, and should glide through your fingers easily. Otherwise you need to deep condition.

Healthy hair is elastic and strong. Test yours by stretching a strand from the scalp. If your hair can stretch significantly without snapping then it’s strong.

Shampoos containing silicones can help with hair strength. Also be sure to get enough protein in your diet.
