HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO TAKE CHARGE

Shop with a list. You need certain things. A list will keep you from getting sidetracked.

Compare prices. Try to get the best deal, but don’t buy something just because it’s on sale. If you have to talk yourself into something, then you won’t wear it enough.

Use a three-way mirror. You want to look great at every angle for anything you wear to be truly worth buying.

Don’t let salespeople make you buy anything. You know what looks good on you.

Find things that are easy to care for. Check the labels for instructions. If something is a good buy, but constantly has to be sent to the cleaners, it’s a budget-breaker.

Don’t buy anything that pulls, bunches, rides up, or makes noise when you walk. You should be able to pull an inch of fabric to allow you to eat, move, and be comfortable.

THE LESS LEATHER

ON AN INEXPENSIVE SHOE, THE MORE EXPENSIVE IT WILL LOOK.

THE BEST TIME TO HIT

A SALE IS FRIDAY NIGHT. STORES ARE USUALLY NOT CROWDED AND VERY OFTEN ARE OPEN LATER WHEN THERE’S A SALE.

TAKE ADVANTAGE OF

PRESEASON SALES. THE PRICE MAY NOT COME DOWN IN SEASON. THIS IS ESPECIALLY TRUE OF SWIMSUITS, CASHMERE, AND OUTERWEAR.
