BRONZER

How do those models look so naturally tan? It’s called the fine art of bronzing.

Here are the rules:

• Bronzer should never be more than two shades darker than the skin’s natural color.

• Creams work best for dry skin while powder is a better choice for oily or combination skin.

• Liquid formulas are never advised.

• A blush brush makes it easier to control coverage.

To apply cream bronzers, fingers are really the best applicators. It helps the bronzer blend into the skin. Only use bronzer on bones, not the entire face. Focus on highlighting the cheekbones, bones above the temples, and the bridge of the nose, mimicking a natural tan.

To minimize contrast, run the bronzer down the center of the neck into the cleavage.

Drugstores have excellent bronzers. It’s never necessary to spend a lot on bronzer since the intent is for shading over pigment.

When using bronzer, always tone down makeup on the rest of the face.
