BASICS

Getting the right foundation is critical to the entire look. It’s like building a house.

TINTED MOISTURIZER

This is the lightest foundation, with very little coverage. Smooth it over your face as you would a moisturizer.

LIQUID FOUNDATION

Gives a sheer coverage and leaves time for blending.

STICK FOUNDATION

A cream foundation with medium coverage.

It also can be used as a concealer.

CREAM TO POWDER

A non-oily foundation that dries to a matte finish. Apply it with a sponge.

FOUNDATION POWDER

A two-in-one foundation that can be used with a damp sponge for heavy coverage or with a brush for a lighter finish.

FOUNDATION APPLICATION

Become a makeup artist by combining two or even three shades of foundation to get the color you need. Always mix it in the palm of your hand, never on your face. You pay a cosmetic counter person to do this, but you’ll save a bunch by mixing your own.

Start with perfectly clean skin and a little bit of moisturizer to help you spread the foundation. Dot first on blemishes or reddened areas. Begin in the middle of the face, smoothing with clean fingers or a sponge. Extend the foundation to under the chin. Apply extra foundation or concealer if needed. Only apply powder to extra oily areas, like the nose and chin.

TAN AWAY

Bronzing your skin is easier than ever. A fake tan can make you look thinner and even disguises scars and bruises. Bronzing is an excellent way to get a healthy and natural glow.

MAKE CIRCLES

Apply self tanner with round, circular motions.

REMOVE ANY EXCESS

Wash your hands right after applying. If any stains remain, wipe off with cuticle remover.

Brush excess over upper lip, earlobes, upper ears, and upper chest.
