. FAST FIXES

Beauty emergencies need to be solved as quickly as possible to get you out the door in a presentable style. Here are the most common emergencies with the quickest, most inexpensive way to treat them.

ACNE

This is the number one beauty emergency no matter how old you are. Deal with them on the "spot."

If the bump seems really red or swollen, apply an ice cube to reduce signs of inflammation.

To reduce redness, use an eye redness reliever or hydrocortisone. Hemorrhoid cream also works, all reduce the redness.

Dab on calamine lotion. It dries up and absorbs excess oil.

Mix one tablespoon of lemon juice and one tablespoon of cornstarch. Pat the paste on the blemish and let dry.

SHAVING NICKS

Moisten a dry tea bag with cold water and place it on the cut to stop the bleeding.

INSECT BITES

Mix one part meat tenderizer to four parts water and apply to bite.

SUNBURN

Chill a spray bottle of vinegar in the fridge, and then spray it on your burn.

Rub a peeled cucumber on the sunburn.

Pop an anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen.

Rub aloe vera gel on the burn.

POWDER OVERLOAD

Spritz your face with water and blot with a tissue for more natural coverage.

Take a clean, large fluffy brush and go over your face in circles.

QUICK GLOW FOR SALLOW SKIN

3 Minutes: Splash your face with as much cold water as you can handle about ten times. This gets blood flowing and invigorates skin.

2 minutes: Tap all over your face (lightly slapping yourself) until you feel your face tingle.

1 minute: Apply bronzing or shimmer powder on your forehead, cheeks, and chin.

30 seconds: Drop your head to the floor. This revs up circulation and puts color in your cheeks.

RED NOSE

Apply allergy drops with a cotton swab. Spread a mixture of green eye shadow and concealer to color-correct.
