Mix one-quarter cup of lavender oil with one – half cup of canola oil, and one teaspoon of salt. Massage in to remove dead skin cells. Rinse under tepid water.
Duplicate an expensive foot massage by STIMULATING PRESSURE POINTS on your feet by rolling them around on a rubber ball while you bathe.
ATHLETE’S FOOT RELIEF
Mix one tablespoon of baking soda and one – quarter cup of water. Rub between toes to relieve the itch of athlete’s foot. Leave mixture on until it dries. Rinse and dry feet completely.
NEAT NAILS
Mix together one cup of milk or cream with one tablespoon of moisturizer. Warm and microwave. When warm but comfortable to the touch, soak hands for fifteen minutes.
Rub jojoba oil or almond oil on your cuticles and fingers to keep them healthy and to keep nails from splitting.
Get your nails white by dipping them in half a lemon for a minute or two. The citric acid naturally bleaches tips.
THE POWERFUL PINEAPPLE
It’s a great fruit with citric qualities that many spas use.
Pineapple Cuticle Treatment
Use this treatment before pushing back your cuticles.
4 cup pineapple /2teaspoon apple cider vinegar one teaspoon vegetable oil one tablespoon honey one egg yolk
Mix together and apply to hands, concentrating on cuticles. Wrap hands in plastic gloves or plastic wrap. Leave on for fifteen minutes. Remove plastic and rinse with warm water.
Use once or twice a week to keep your feet sandal-ready!
LEMON (peeled) One-quarter GRAPEFRUIT (peeled) two teaspoons ANISE EXTRACT one teaspoon SALT
Mix ingredients together. Rub mixture on feet, concentrating on heels. Wrap feet in plastic and leave on for twenty to thirty minutes. Rinse with warm water.
ALWAYS BE CAREFUL WHEN APPLYING ANY ESSENTIAL OIL TO SKIN, ESPECIALLY SENSITIVE SKIN. TEST IT FIRST.
There’s a wonderful (but expensive) Tahitian scrub that you can make yourself for under a dollar.
Grind one-half cup shelled walnuts into a powder. Add two tablespoons of olive oil and one tablespoon of honey. Rub over hands and lower arms for a few minutes. Rinse well.
Toss five bags of green tea into a basin of hot water. Let cool until comfortable and put both feet and ankles in. Let soak until water cools completely. Rub fresh mint leaves over your toes and feet. Apply olive oil to seal in moisture.
