No matter who you are, you need sunblock. Everyone needs to protect their skin from the damaging effects of the sun. Makeup Artists should apply sunblock before a makeup as well as during the coarse of the day when filming outdoors. It needs to be reapplied to protect all day. There is a certain responsibility to ensure your actor does not burn while filming or shooting outdoors. It also makes your work a lot easier if you take the time to protect the skin. Covering burnt
skin is a drag; it’s time-consuming and painful.
A MUST HAVE: board spectrum sunblock that blocks both UVB and UVA rays.
